I was developing my website and profiling its client-side performance. Then, PageSpeed and Pingdom said that I needed to paralilize my static resources to improve my request resolution time.
To paralilize your requests and improve your request resolution time, you need to create a cookie-less domain. But some websites use the wildcard subdomain as their cookie domain to... for instance, do a SSO between their subdomains.
If you use the wildcard subdomain as your cookie domain, you need to have another domain. Why? Because all the headers of all the requests that match with the wildcard subdomain, forward, in their headers, your domain cookies.
Why all the people that use the wildcard subdomain for save their website cookies needs to buy another domain for use it, for example, as a CDN? We don't know the answer, but we offer a solution. You register your site in our platform and we generate for you a wildcard subdomain such as: *.mydomain.lesscookies.com . Then, you can use it to parelelize your requests or to offer the service that you like. As simple as that.
LessCookies is completely free, but we need some information about you to work together:
If you have any specific question, send us and email to info@lesscookies.com
Which is the use of my email?
Well, we like to talk with real people and real people have emails. We only need it to keep in touch and ensure that our solution works well and... if everything is fine, to get your logo so we can put it in our footer.
What's our business?
LessCookies isn't meant to win money. We need a cookie-less domain also and we think that it's a good idea to share this domain with others. We don't need to pay more to use this domain if we share it!
